We are excited to announce the upcoming release of DoveRunner Console 1.6.0, scheduled for May 6, 2026. This release brings a significant step forward in our ongoing Console consolidation journey — delivering migrated Content Security features under the unified DoveRunner experience, alongside meaningful performance improvements to App Security workflows.
Content Security — Migration to DoveRunner Console
Forensic Watermarking, Distributor Watermarking, and Transcoding & Packaging are now accessible directly within the DoveRunner Console, redesigned with DoveRunner's updated brand and UI components.
These migrated features are functionally equivalent to the legacy Content Security Console — no workflow changes are required on your end.
Multi-DRM and Settings under the Content Security menu are not yet migrated in this release and will continue to redirect to the legacy Content Security Console. Full migration is planned for a future release.
Both the DoveRunner Console and the legacy Content Security Console remain operational. You can use either at your convenience.
To switch your preferred interface, go to Profile > Preferred Console in the DoveRunner Console.
Mobile App Security — Improved APK/AAB Upload Performance
The file upload flow for Android app sealing has been redesigned to use pre-signed URL direct upload to AWS S3, replacing the previous server-relay approach.
What changed: Previously, APK/AAB files were uploaded to the AppSealing server first, which then transferred them to S3 storage. This added latency — particularly for customers uploading from Europe, where cross-region routing to the AWS Tokyo endpoint caused notable slowdowns.
New flow: The Console now requests a temporary pre-signed URL from the API, then uploads your file directly to S3 — bypassing the intermediate server. Once the upload completes, the API is notified and sealing begins immediately.
Practical benefits:
Faster upload times, especially from regions geographically distant from AWS Tokyo
Reduced upload failure rate and lower server-side overhead
Continuity
Legacy App Security and Content Security consoles will remain available until the full DoveRunner Console consolidation is completed in Q4 2026. No disruption to existing workflows.
