DRM License Server 5.9.2

New Policy Option:
allow_test_device
for Widevine DRM:
A new security policy field,allow_test_device
, has been added to the Widevine section of the DRM license token.
This policy gives you control over whether to issue DRM licenses to Android devices that are flagged as test devices in Google’s Widevine Device Certificate Status List (DCSL).
By default, this option is set totrue
, which means licenses will be issued to test devices unless explicitly blocked.Improved License Renewal Support for Widevine and WisePlay DRM:
The license renewal mechanism has been enhanced to better support real-time enforcement scenarios, such as live stream blocking.
With this update, the server can now dynamically respond to client renewal requests by checking for changes in blacklist, allowing immediate interruption of playback for illegal streams.
This is especially beneficial for live content where mid-stream enforcement is required.Bug Fix: Conflict Between Blacklist and Concurrent Stream Limiting (CSL):
A bug was resolved that occurred when both the blacklist and concurrent stream limiting (CSL) features were used simultaneously in Widevine or WisePlay DRM.
Previously, certain license requests could fail unexpectedly or allow unintended playback due to logic conflicts between the two enforcement mechanisms.
The fix ensures that both features now operate reliably together without interfering with each other.
