Overview

DoveRunner Console v1.5.0 brings two new App Security features and a major platform authentication improvement with passkey support.

1. App Security — Selective .SO File Encryption (Android)

Customers can now choose which native .so library files to encrypt during the Android app sealing process, rather than applying encryption uniformly to all native libraries.

In the console, the sealing page now displays a list of all .so files detected in the uploaded APK or AAB. Customers can select specific files for encryption, and the sealing history will record which files were encrypted in each operation for audit purposes.

This feature is particularly useful for apps with large numbers of native libraries where encrypting all files would affect build performance or runtime behavior, allowing targeted protection of the most sensitive modules.

2. App Security — iOS Hacking Detection: Configurable Response

Previously, when the DoveRunner iOS SDK detected a hacking or tampering event, the application was force-closed immediately. This release introduces a configurable response option, giving your app control over how to handle the detection event.

This can be configured per detection type in the DoveRunner Console's App Security settings, enabling more nuanced enforcement strategies — for example, re-authenticating the user, logging the event, or presenting a contextual warning screen before taking further action.

3. Platform — Passkey Login Support

The DoveRunner Console now supports passkey-based authentication using the FIDO2/WebAuthn standard. Passkeys provide a passwordless login experience that is resistant to phishing, credential stuffing, and account takeover attacks. Users can register a passkey from their console account profile and use it to sign in via biometric or device PIN authentication.

Passkey login is available as an additional authentication option and does not replace existing login methods.
